1. Provider and contractual framework
The provider of the Kydly iOS app is Eugen Giminger, a sole trader operating under Giminger Consulting, Komödienstr. 44, 50667 Köln, Germany. Support: info@giminger.com.
Apple’s Standard EULA applies to the app license and is linked from the app. This website provides additional product, usage and purchase information. It does not introduce a separate custom EULA. Mandatory legal rights apply independently; the terms validly incorporated in Apple’s purchase process also apply.
This product information supplements the Apple Standard EULA linked in the app. It creates no separate custom EULA and does not replace consumer information required in Apple’s purchase process.
2. Features and requirements
Kydly supports rules for supported app access, requests, location overviews, zones, help messages and digital literacy content. Features depend on the app version, permissions and Apple interfaces.
Kydly requires an iPhone with at least iOS 18. Live features require suitable Apple/iCloud access and the necessary Apple family authorization on children’s devices. Missing connectivity or permissions may limit features.
Requirements are compatible iOS devices running iOS 18 or later, Apple permissions needed for each feature and usable iCloud access for synchronized family features. The App Store compatibility information applies to the version offered.
3. Family management and parental responsibility
Setup and management are reserved for authorized parents or legal guardians. They must have the necessary rights to manage devices and profiles and explain rules and data sharing to children in an age-appropriate way.
Invitations must go only to intended members. Kydly does not replace discussion or supervision. A technical family role creates no legal parental responsibility or authority to act for another person.
4. Free introductory period
Eligible Apple Accounts receive a free week as an introductory offer with the monthly subscription. You start it in the app using Apple’s purchase dialog and the payment method Apple requires. Apple determines eligibility for the subscription group based on subscription history; changing devices or resetting the app does not guarantee renewed eligibility.
Without timely cancellation, the free week automatically becomes a paid monthly subscription. Apple recommends cancelling a free introductory period in Apple subscription settings at least 24 hours before it ends. The purchase dialog and Apple’s regional terms apply. Kydly Lifetime has no trial period.
Without membership, the current app provides basic features for one parent and the first child profile: Screen Time rules, unlocking, current location, location notifications, requests and SOS. Additional child profiles cannot continue to be managed without Premium; existing rules remain on the children’s devices.
Premium features cease when entitlement ends. The basic and safety features designated as free in the current app are separate. Changes must not impair mandatory legal rights or contractually promised services.
5. Kydly Monthly
Kydly Monthly is an automatically renewing monthly subscription with seven free days for eligible Apple Accounts. The German price afterwards is EUR 4.99 per month. The products, prices and terms Apple shows before purchase in your region apply.
Apple handles billing and automatic renewal. You can cancel in Apple subscription settings. Observe the dates displayed there and cancel a free introductory period at least 24 hours before it ends. Confirmed access for a paid period generally continues to the end of that period, subject to Apple purchase status and terms. Mandatory regional cancellation rights remain unaffected.
The stated German prices and free introductory week correspond to the configured Apple products. Prices and offer eligibility may differ by region and Apple Account. Before each purchase, Apple shows the binding price, duration and applicable terms.
6. Kydly Lifetime
Kydly Lifetime is a one-time, non-consumable In-App Purchase priced at EUR 69.99 in Germany. It is not a recurring subscription and has no monthly fees or trial period. The confirmed product and its terms apply.
Lifetime refers to the entitlement obtained through this purchase. It does not guarantee unlimited technical support for all future devices, systems or Apple interfaces. Statutory supply, update and consumer rights remain unaffected.
Lifetime does not automatically cancel or refund an existing monthly subscription. You must cancel any ongoing renewal separately through Apple if needed.
The one-time purchase establishes the contractual entitlement without recurring billing. No right to arbitrarily shorten that entitlement is reserved; statutory supply and update obligations remain in place.
7. Purchasing and restoring purchases
The website takes no payments. Purchases are confirmed in the app through Apple In-App Purchase. Paid access requires a verified StoreKit entitlement. A pending or unverified purchase does not automatically activate Premium.
The app provides “Käufe wiederherstellen” (Restore purchases) with verification through Apple. Apple Family Sharing is enabled for both products. If your Kydly family organizer makes the purchase, the app distributes confirmed family access status through your family iCloud to the second parent and children. Apple purchase sharing and Kydly family status are different mechanisms.
The actual availability of restoration or Family Sharing depends on the confirmed product, Apple Account and valid purchase status. Revoking or refunding a purchase may end the related entitlement.
8. Availability, maintenance and feature changes
Connectivity, maintenance, Apple services and iOS settings can affect operation. Uninterrupted availability is not promised; rights relating to defective performance remain in place.
Changes must comply with contractual and legal requirements. Necessary updates, including security updates, must be supplied to the extent required by law. This product information does not authorize arbitrary changes to essential features.
Material adverse changes are governed, in particular, by statutory requirements for digital products, including necessary information and any termination rights. Necessary security and functional updates remain due to the extent required by law.
9. Permitted use
Use the app lawfully and only for authorized family management. Unauthorized covert surveillance, abusive forwarding of invitations, bypassing access protection and interfering with other people’s devices are prohibited.
Protect Apple credentials and devices. Use family information, images and location data only lawfully.
10. Location and emergency features
Locations may be inaccurate or outdated. Zone events and notifications depend on permissions, system status and connectivity. They must not be the sole basis for safety-critical decisions.
SOS sends help messages to the connected family. It is not an emergency service and guarantees neither delivery, response nor rescue. In an immediate emergency, contact local emergency services directly. Parental supervision remains necessary.
11. Liability and statutory remedies
Statutory liability and warranty rules apply. This information does not exclude claims for death, personal injury, damage to health, intent or gross negligence. Mandatory liability and consumer rights remain unaffected.
Statutory rights relating to defects in digital products, including necessary updates, are not excluded. Technical dependencies do not create a blanket exclusion of liability.
This information does not agree any additional restrictions on statutory liability or warranty rights.
12. Consumer rights and withdrawal
Statutory consumer rights apply. Any right of withdrawal and the conditions for its possible loss must match the particular product and purchase process. This product information contains no blanket exclusion.
Apple provides purchase management and refund procedures. These do not guarantee a refund and do not automatically replace statutory claims against the relevant contractual party.
The consumer and withdrawal information provided in Apple’s purchase process applies to purchases. A right of withdrawal is not lost merely by downloading; where loss of that right is provided for, all statutory requirements must be met. Purchase questions may be directed to Apple and the provider.
13. Cancellation and stopping use
Monthly subscriptions are cancelled through Apple. Uninstalling the app or deleting a family does not automatically end a subscription. Lifetime has no monthly renewal.
Deleting a family, leaving a family and resetting local data are different actions. Cloud data may remain after a local reset. The privacy policy explains how the app handles these data.
Any permanent discontinuation of services does not remove existing contractual claims or mandatory consumer rights. Family deletion, Apple subscription cancellation and stopping use of the app are separate actions.
14. Changes to terms and support
Changes to terms require a lawful reason and effective communication or incorporation. Existing and mandatory legal rights do not disappear merely because a website changes.
Support is provided only by email to info@giminger.com. There is no guaranteed response time, form, chat or ticket system.
